Why Pinterest is the most powerful tool you will ever use to increase your blogs traffic!

There are two posts I see at least 10 times a day in my blogging Facebook Groups: “Can I really generate traffic from Pinterest?” and “How do I maintain a steady flow of traffic to my site?” The answers are YES YOU CAN! and PINTEREST!

Even before I wrote Pinterest Ninja, I learned just how powerful of a tool Pinterest can be. I went to college for marketing and I will admit when I started hearing that Pinterest was a good way to market a business I kind of thought it was a joke. I mean anytime I spent on Pinterest was looking up recipes and crafts, never did I imagine it would turn out to be a marketing DREAM!

Here is when I learned how Powerful Pinterest could be

I do Social Media marketing for small businesses and one of the businesses I took on was really struggling to make a steady income. They were averaging $5,000 a month in sales and they were barely breaking even. So when I took them on I knew I had a BIG job ahead of me. I decided to tackle this job a little different than I had origionally planned and I started creating pins for their products and pinning them on Pinterest. Now I wasn’t just pinning them, I had some strategies that I learned via a Pinterest course and a few strategies that I already knew!

So I worked my marketing magic and after just two weeks I got a phone call from the owner telling me their website traffic had gone from 100ish views a day to over 800! OVER 800, in just TWO WEEKS! Pretty cool right? Well fast forward two months and their sales went from $5,000 to OVER $30,000 ALL FROM PINTEREST. This month, which will be month 6, they are set to have a $70,000 month.

No way can all their sales be coming from Pinterest

Yes way. Okay, well not all of them, but 80% of their monthly sales (on average) come from Pinterest. Now don’t get me wrong, you need to do some work on your part to, but once you know how to work Pinterest, it will work for you. And it’s not as simple as pinning a pin. Back in the day (you know when there was a wait list to get on Pinterest) anything you would pin, would automatically show up in your followers feeds. Not anymore 🙁 Now you really have to know what you are doing to have your pins seen and re-pinned.

Wow sounds amazing! Does your method use an automated pinning system or do you pin manually? Just curious because I cannot invest in a subscription service yet (and don’t like the idea that I should HAVE to in order to be competitive), so I’m very interested in systems that still pin “by hand”!

Nope it’s all by hand! I don’t pay for a service either 🙂
