How long does it take to make money as a Pinterest Virtual Assistant?

This is a question I get asked DAILY! And while it varies from student to student, let me break down how long it took me to start my business!

So I have been working in the Pinterest Marketing field for just over six years now. MAN, does time fly! I have a degree in marketing and communications, and I got into Pinterest marketing by working for a Homeschool driver education company. Since their target audience hung out on Pinterest, they wanted me to dive into that side of the internet!

I took about four courses, only one was worth what I paid for it. And then I took learning how things worked into my own hands.

After about 6 months, I decided I would officially start my own Pinterest Virtual Assistant business.

The total time for set up was about 3-4 weeks. Really, that was waiting on my LLC to become “official.” The majority of the business setup took about 10 days.

Once I was official, I started reaching out to potential clients. And while tons of people either told me no or didn’t respond, some said yes. And while the no’s and no responses are VERY discouraging, there is no better feeling than landing your first client.

I offered free services for one month; in return for a review, I needed to build my resume since I was so new! I took on 10 “free” 1 month clients, and at the end, signed all of them but one.

After that, referrals rolled in. And while I do lose some clients now and then, I make a consistent $4,000 a month income from offering Pinterest Virtual Assistant services.

I now am picky on who I work with; I only choose bigger ticket clients as they have larger budgets and don’t quit on me after a month since they can no longer afford it. I have worked with and still work with big brands like LaCroix, Simply Juice, Absolute Vodka, and more.

Being a Pinterest Virtual Assistant has been LIFE CHANGING for my family. Being 34 years old and living VERY comfortably in California is something I never imagined would have happened. And those of you who live in California know what I am talking about!
Also, working from HOME on my own schedule, especially during Covid has been such a blessing.

Did it take a lot of work to get here? Yes. Did I cry a lot along the way and want to quit? Also yes. But I am SO happy I didn’t!
The thing for me was I was already having success with my own Pinterest account before I started taking on clients. So REALLY knowing how Pinterest works is VITAL when it comes to working for others.

I offered free services for one month; in return for a review, I needed to build my resume since I was so new! I took on 10 “free” 1 month clients, and at the end, signed all of them but one.

I SEE SO MANY VA’s PINNING INCORRECTLY! This is BAD NEWS as you can ruin a client’s account if you pin incorrectly. This post will shed more light.

Long story short, it took me about 3 months before I started bringing in income.

I now tech other’s how to be successful on Pinterest AND how to start their own VA business! I have over 1,000 successful Virtual Assistant students and over 4,000 Pinterest students! And nothing brings me more joy than having a student tell me they made their first $350!

Will it take work? Yes. Will it be worth it? 150%
