Okay, you got me, this isn’t a Pinterest trick. It’s more of a helpful tip, but a tip that I think a lot of users don’t know about! And it can give you an instant traffic boost! So I thought I would share!

If you are new to the platform, let me give you a quick rundown on how it works.

Pinterest is a search engine, and it works a lot like Google. With certain algorithms in place, SEO plays a very vital role when it comes to your content being seen.

However, because Pinterest is a visual search engine, your pin design and imaging also play a very important role when it comes to your pin being seen!

Pinterest loves fresh new content.

Don’t believe me? Ever see this message when you log into Pinterest or refresh your Pinterest page?

Pinterest wants to continuously fill your feed with fresh NEW ideas!

Now, I know you may be thinking, “Ummm hello? I can’t write five new blog posts a week!”

And you don’t have to!

Fresh new content can simply be a new pin image, linking to an old post!

Want to know what happens when you add a fresh new pin? Your content gets prioritized for distribution. Which means, your new pin has a much higher chance of appearing at the top of users smart feeds.

Creating more than one pin per post can help you figure out what type of imaging and wording gets you better conversions. This post will explain better.

This is another great tactic to use when your monthly views drop.

Focus on creating 2-4 new pins each week. This way your content always has a good chance of being seen!

Happy Pinning!
